DISPOSABLE SURGICAL DRAPE FEATURES

Our Disposable Surgical Drapes use 2 and 3 layer systems.

  • Polypropylene PP laminated with Polyethylene PE (PP/PE)
  • PP laminated with PE laminated with PP (PP/PE/PP)
  • PP laminated with chemical bond called Viscose
  • The weight of the fabric ranges between 54-70 gm

Our Surgical Gowns use SMS (Spunbond-Meltblown-Spunbond).

  • 100% Polypropylene (PP)
  • Composed of two layers of Spunbond fabrics and one layer Meltblown
  • Conveniently light weighing only 43-45 gm

A liquid collection pouch is added to the set where necessary. The pouch is:

  • Made of Polyethylene PE
  • Single or double depending on the type of the surgical operation
  • Designed to collect different kinds of fluids

MATERIAL/FABRIC FEATURES

Nonwoven fabric

Nonwoven fabric is a fabric-like material made from long fibers bonded together by chemical, mechanical, heat, or solvent treatment. They are neither woven nor knitted. They do not require converting the fibers to yarn. Where necessary, the nonwoven fabric can be treated with additional materials like plastic films for further reinforcement. This creates a spectrum of products with diverse properties.

A nonwoven fabric can mimic the appearance, texture and strength of a woven fabric.

Spunsuper Triplex

Spunsuper Triplex fabrics are used for disposable drapes. They are composed of hydrophilic Spunbond nonwovens with high level barrier films. It is manufactured in 3 layers. Their high absorbency provides protection by absorbing the liquid very quickly, holding it on the barrier layer.

Spunsuper Bilfex

Spunsuper Biflex fabrics are used for disposable drapes. They are composed of hydrophilic Spunbond nonwovens with high level barrier films. It is manufactured in 2 layers. They have an outstanding high absorbency, two times faster absorption than standard products.

SMS (Spunbond-Meltblown-Spunbond)

SMS is the abbreviation of “Spunbond-Meltblown-Spunbond”. It is made by combining two layers of Spunbond with one layer Meltblown nonwovens inside. This creates a strong layered product.

If combined with two layers Meltblown nonwoven, it’s called SMMS nonwoven fabric. In the same way, it’s called SMMMS nonwoven fabric when combined with three layers Meltblown nonwoven inside.
